Jesús Rodrigo Lavilla

Jesús is the founding partner and CEO of PLA Litigation Funding, a Spanish platform that invests in complex litigation assets connected to Spain and Portugal through its regulated fund.

Jesús has been a State Attorney of Spain since 2006, currently on voluntary leave, and holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Comill as Pontifical University (ICADE).

As a Spanish State Attorney, he represented the State and various public entities before the civil, administrative, criminal, labor, and military jurisdictions. Among other positions, he served before the Administrative Courts, the High Court of Justice of Madrid, and the National Court (Audiencia Nacional). He was also a member of the Office of the Solicitor General of Spain(Abogado General del Estado).

Jesús transitioned to the private sector as Head of Legal Affairs at Iberia Airlines, where he coordinated the company’s complex litigation portfolio across 46 countries, including the management of class actions in the United States.

Since 2014, he has been part of the JB Capital Markets Group, where, in addition to serving as Secretary of the Board, he is responsible for investments in litigation assets through PLA Litigation Funding and its regulated fund.

Jesús is fluent in Spanish and English and has a basic knowledge of French.
